It’s always been allowed to use your shoulder, so they seemed to have drawn the line for the shoulder where a t-shirt sleeve ends.
I wonder if you’d be pulled up for lobbing the keeper by flicking the ball over him with that lowest part of the “shoulder.”

Handball used to be the top of your arm and shoulder, but has now been extended to half way down your arm, so you can potentially score with upper arm.

Can anyone tell me why off side was given because his upper arm was in an off side position?
I understood the rule was any part of the body that can legally play the ball.
However, when I was looking at the lines, I thought his knee was in front of Ogbonna’s toes. Why all the reports saying his upper arm?

Their goal wasn’t off a wildly deflected shot, but I think it was enough to change it from what would have been a routine save for Fabianski.
I just want to echo what someone said last night, that I’m very happy with Moyes attitude to the performance. He was not happy with it just because we won. Rather than cupping his ears to the fans, (if we were there booing), he’d agree and go in and give them a deserved post victory hair dryer treatment.

Everyone is going on like Villa played like peak Real Madrid last night.
Grealish was excellent, he's arguably the form player in the country at the moment (Europe possibly?), the ref was superb for them, but outside of those 2, they were decent, nothing more. We've played like they did and lost on so many occasions it doesn't bear thinking about.
Fact is they scored a wildly deflected goal, got a pen that never should have been, and had a goal rightfully chalked off. We should've had a pen.
